Substance Use Disorder(SUD) is a medical condition that is defined by the inability to control the use of a particular substance despite harmful consequences. SUD’s are complex but treatable conditions that can cause a personto feel a loss of control. However, with the proper treatment, people can overcome substance use disorders and find a new way to live.
Passages provides level 1 outpatient substance use disorder treatment to enrollees. The individual may be enrolled in the SUD program as well as other programs at the same time. However, individuals may not be enrolled in two SUD programs at the same time.

SUD Treatment
Treatment includes therapy with an SUD professional or professional trainee.
Certified Peer Counselors (Peer Specialists) also provide peer support by:
- Pairing individuals in recovery with trained certified peer specialists who share their life experiences.
- Assist individuals to develop their own recovery goals.
- Provide individual and group peer support.
- Provide scheduled activities that promote recovery, self-advocacy, development of natural supports, and maintenance of community living skills.
